Artist's Statement: A variation on the log cabin design, this hooked rug uses textured wools in rich Arts and Crafts colors - purple, amber, chartreuse and red plum - and 'high-bright' squares of solid colors to revisit a traditional quilting pattern, giving it a contemporary twist.
