About the image for the logo on this page: Puffin - 22" x 14" - hand dyed wool on linen - hooked rug by Sandra Brown. Conceived as a series of rugs for the Pittsburgh (now the National) Aviary, each bird rug was designed around characteristic "features" and a single feather. The Puffin's beak and eye comprise the border, with black and burnt orange completing the inner design. Other pieces in this series include Peacock and Green and Gold Macaw.
